Laureates by country
Distinct laureates per modern country, top 25 shown. Every view counts a person once, however many awards they hold. Affiliation and citizenship count a laureate once under each listed country. The two country rate views measure laureates against World Bank population. Cities / 1m measures award records at award-time affiliations against GeoNames city population.
Recent award records relative to GDP
Every country with at least 5 recorded award-recipient rows from 2015–2025, using affiliation country at the time of award, per $1 billion of 2024 GDP at PPP.
Career totals of early winners
Laureates who won at least one award before turning 40, ranked by their lifetime award count — these are finished careers, not people who are young now. Age comes from birth year, so it may be off by one.
Age at first win, by subject
How old laureates were when they won their first recorded award, grouped by subject. The bar spans the middle half of each subject — a quarter won younger, a quarter older — and the notch is the median. Mathematics stands apart because the Fields Medal is only awarded under 40. Organizations and laureates with no birth year are excluded.
Where laureates go to win
Each country's laureates per million people, counted twice: by where they were born, and by where they were working when the award came. A bar running right means the country hosts more laureates than it raises; running left means its laureates won elsewhere. Needs a published population figure and at least 5 laureates on one of the two measures.

Awards by decade
How many awards each prize family has handed out over time. The final decade is marked * because it is still running.
Scoring: points = Σ (prize prestige score ÷ 100) over a laureate's recorded awards; prize shares are not discounted. Identity follows the Wikidata QID in the source data, so the same person is merged across prize families. Built from awards.sqlite3 as of 2026-08-01.
